The weather is beautiful right now in NE Oklahoma, so I took advantage of the in-laws being on a day trip to Lake Oolagah, the daughter being at work, the Hubby being at a Scottish Rite event, and the son still being in bed, to take pictures of the WIPs in natural sunshine. Ahhhh...... pretty.
I put the Cobblestone Pullover on waste yarn yesterday and had the son try it on for size. It's going to be perfect. This picture is showing it from the side, not the direct front.
I finished the first chart, left and right side, of my Daughter's stole, Wings of a Dream. I'm about 1/4 of the way through the second chart. I'm loving the beads in the middle of the catspaws.
My stole, Twinings, is coming along the slowest, purely because I'm devoting more time to those projects for my kids. Working with the 100% silk is a joy, though, and when I do pick up the needles, it knits up well.
Everything looks lovely! Glad you got a moment to yourself to take some pictures. I didn't realize your in-laws were going to be in town for such a long time. You are a trooper for entertaining them :)
ReplyDeleteI think my breath caught a little when I saw Twinings. I've never really had a desire to do lace but this is so delicate and beautiful I just might.
Thank you! I think that Twinings would be a good piece to try if you haven't a lot of experience with lace. I am using a slightly thinner laceweight than is recommended in the pattern, but I couldn't resist that honey colored silk!
