Time marches on

My son turned 21 years old day before yesterday, April 23. Where have the years gone? I feel like breaking into a rendition of "Sunrise, Sunset". He is a marvelous young man, with immense promise and potential. I am very proud of him. Son, I love you!

Images for your perusal

The weather is beautiful right now in NE Oklahoma, so I took advantage of the in-laws being on a day trip to Lake Oolagah, the daughter being at work, the Hubby being at a Scottish Rite event, and the son still being in bed, to take pictures of the WIPs in natural sunshine. Ahhhh...... pretty.

I put the Cobblestone Pullover on waste yarn yesterday and had the son try it on for size. It's going to be perfect. This picture is showing it from the side, not the direct front.

I finished the first chart, left and right side, of my Daughter's stole, Wings of a Dream. I'm about 1/4 of the way through the second chart. I'm loving the beads in the middle of the catspaws.

My stole, Twinings, is coming along the slowest, purely because I'm devoting more time to those projects for my kids. Working with the 100% silk is a joy, though, and when I do pick up the needles, it knits up well.

I have been remiss in posting

And it was pointed out to me last night. Yes it's true, I've been neglecting my blogbaby, and I'm sorry. What with the in-laws still here and all, I haven't felt very bloggy.

More progress has been made on both the Wings of a Dream Stole and the Cobblestone Pullover, and not so much on the Twinings Stole. I still haven't got pictures yet, as that is something that just hasn't seemed to happen.

The in-laws' trip has been okay so far. Long term houseguests can be..... interesting, to say the least. We have a small dinner party planned this Saturday, should be fun. And then into the homestretch before they depart a week from Sunday.
