There's our son!! Finally the photographer and our cadet were in the same place at the same time. LOL!

Cadet Sawkins is the one at the back on the very left, the one with the full head shot, looking slightly to his right as he walks by.

We're so happy to have him home now!

Bus Socks VIII.5

I named this set Bus Socks VIII.5, because the first sock was knit at home and only the second one is being knit on the bus, hence .5, :)

This shows the seam on the bottom of the sock where I alternated the yarn from each ball every other second or third round.

Key Lime yumminess

Bus Socks VIII are done! This wonderful yarn from Fearless Fibers is a 100% merino Tight Twist Superwash Sock weight. I love Deb's yarns and colors - I've never been disappointed buying from her.

I've also finished one sock from the yarn I bought in Guthrie, OK, at a delightful little yarn store, Sealed With A Kiss. It's Tempted's yarn Queens "3 of a Kind" in Good Girl fingering weight. It's handpainted so I've been knitting from two balls to avoid pooling. The pictures I took came out too dark, perhaps because they were taken after dark, inside the house. sigh One lives in hope that this time the picture will come out light enough, but it never does. I'll take another one in the daytime so that justice can be done to this wonderful colorway.

Anise finished

Hubby helped me pick out buttons yesterday for Anise, and I sewed them on today. I'm very happy with the overall look and fit of the sweater, and if it weren't for the model, me (sad face), who can't take a good picture to save her life, then the photo shoot would have been great.

So, here ya go, ignore me and focus on Anise. It's the star of this gig.

Close... (including dog nose)

Getting closer...

Really close now...

Argh!! Don't look, Ethel!

But it was too late.... :)

Remember Prices Paid...

Happy 4th of July to you! I hope everyone has a safe and fun day, but please take a moment to remember the prices paid so that we can celebrate this holiday.
